I bought a kit of cables from a company called 'Venhill' and remade all
my cables, in braided stainless steel.
The cables can be made to the exact size you want, and the quality of the
fittings are excellent..
made my clutch, and carburettor cables, with enough bits left over to
make the cables for my little drifter project!!

The cables come with one connector already on the cable, for the clutch,
the lever connector. the gas, the twist grip connectors..
I bought a 'Parrot Nosed' cutter for cutting cables and covers... nice clean cut
which you do not get when you try using a hacksaw!!!
The other ends, I solder fixed the connector to the cable.. really pleased
with the quality and quite easy to do...
I think my set cost me £100 but it is a universal set and there are many extra
bends, connectors, cable and cover lengths, so I have enough left over to
do all the cables for my small mini drifter project...

I'm getting some front spindle ends made by my neighbour... getting 3 sets made..
One set for me, one of the sets is already sold, they will be chromed finish..

Also sorted out a design for the rear crash bars.. bought some new [old
stock Honda crash bars] getting some connectors and spacers made and
will be supply seven sets to UK Drifter owners. at the moment there is one
set extra available.. but will only fit to the dual seat frame unless special
brackets are made..

Other items underway.. I am making some spoke covers in polished
stainless sheet for the rear wheel.. they cover from the rim [spoke upstand] to the hub..
a bit like dinner plates.. but without the bottom.. they will be held in
place by 9 countersunk allen screws either side into plastic spacers..
I've always found the rear wheel spokes are an absolute pain to keep
nice and shiny. so it should be a lot easy to keep clean.. when the covers
are ready I will post pictures.. again I am getting 3 sets made, but I might
need to get more made as already I have 3 people who are very keen
for them.. and I want a set myself..

Finally... getting my posterior moving and should be making my kick start
unit in the next few weeks.. I have put off for 2 years, but finalised the design
and how it will work..
Its a bit of vanity, and will connect to the starter switch.. so when I
depress the kick start lever, it closes the circuit and activates the starter
motor!!! I'm afraid it will be a bit of a one off, happy to show how it is
made, I bought the starter dogs/cogs for a Honda many years ago [from
eBay - £5] but I cannot remember which model.. and it will be a bit of a
labour of love.. so not a commercial project!!!.
